More than 960 cadets are graduating at West Point and are expected to hear from Army Secretary Pete Geren during the ceremonies. Geren is the service's top civilian official and is expected to speak at ceremonies Saturday for the U.S. Military Academy Class of 2008.

West Point graduates become second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, and most of them are expected to serve in Iraq or Afghanistan. The graduating class joined the Long Gray Line in the fall of 2004, more than a year into the Iraq war.
