As he walks into the Ardmore Liquor store he is seen picking up a pack of gum. He then takes it to the counter, but when the cashier opens the drawer he pulls out a gun and takes off with the entire cash drawer.

The video shows the suspect running out of the store without firing his gun.

"The fact that he is using a handgun and we are very fearful that he may use the weapon. We want to prevent any serious crimes from occurring," said LAPD Lt. Ruben De La Torre.

Lt. De La Torre says that the man has robbed five businesses in the past six weeks. Each time he has used an automatic handgun.

The liquor store robbery occurred on April 29. He then struck twice at a Denny's restaurant on Wilshire Blvd. and Western Ave.

Next a parking lot attendant was robbed near the Beverly Center. Then a Chinese restaurant was robbed at 2nd Street and Western Avenue.

The Denny's robbery happened in the early morning hours. Those who go to the restaurant on a regular basis were shocked by the news.

"I think that is terrible because it is a family oriented restaurant. I have been there a few times and the atmosphere is really safe. I really do not like to hear that it is being robbed," said customer Mattia Day.

"I thought it was pretty safe. I did not feel as if I was in danger or anything like that," said customer Kevin Hong.

Police are asking for help to catch the serial robber. If you have any information you are asked to call LAPD Wilshire Detectives at (213) 922-8266 or 1-877-LAWFULL.
