Medical pot may be ineffective for pain

Word now that oral cannabis, a form of medical marijuana, is actually ineffective in treating certain types of acute pain.Researchers in Austria studied two groups of women subjected to heat and electrical pain.

One group was given oral cannabis, the other given a placebo. Their research revealed that cannabis had no analgesic affect on pain.

That result a lot different than previous research, which suggested medical marijuana may help ease chronic pain in cancer patients and in people with spinal cord injuries or multiple sclerosis.
