Cervical cancer vaccine causes concern

July 7, 2008 11:59:54 AM PDT
Concern is growing over possible adverse effects of the vaccine designed to prevent cervical cancer.More than 7,800 complaints have been filed against Gardasil since the Food and Drug Administration approved its use two years ago.

Gardasil is being blamed for a host of health problems from nausea to paralysis and even death, but the Centers for Disease Control says no deaths are linked to the vaccine.

Merck says there is no established link between the vaccine and the reported health problems.
