Researchers: New Alzheimer's drug found

Researchers claim the drug Dimebon appears to stop the symptoms of Alzheimer's for a time and even improves the memory of patients by protecting brain cells.

They also said that while current Alzheimer's drugs lose their effectiveness between three and six months, Dimebon still worked after at least a year.

The drug has to go through more clinical trials and won't be approved for at least two years.
