The incident began when the driver of a taxi cab left his keys in the ignition in West Hollywood. The male and female suspects saw their opportunity, stole the car and robbed three businesses.
Police spotted the stolen cab and attempted to pull them over, giving way to a chase that lasted a few minutes.
The driver lost control of the cab and crashed into a restaurant near the Beverly Center, and both suspects were taken into custody.
No one was injured.
