Doc pleads not guilty in road rage case

MANDEVILLE CANYON, Calif. Prosecutors say Dr. Christopher Thompson was driving in Mandeville Canyon on July 4 when he yelled at two bicyclists before cutting them off, then hitting his brakes.

One rider slammed into the rear window of Thompson's car. He and another cyclist were injured, and both are recovering.

Thompson appeared before a judge Friday. He's charged with two felony counts of reckless driving causing injury, battery with serious bodily injury and the special allegation of causing great bodily injury.

His attorney calls the incident an unfortunate accident.
