More UCLA staff saw celebs' records

August 5, 2008 12:00:00 AM PDT
A state report says 127 workers at UCLA Medical Center peeked at celebrities' medical files without permission - nearly twice the number initially reported in the snooping scandal. The report says three workers continued to look at records of one well-known patient even after a crackdown. Records of prominent patients including actress Farrah Fawcett and California First Lady Maria Shriver are said to have been breached.

Hospital officials say violators were disciplined or fired and new measures are in place to prevent such problems in the future.
