August 14, 2008 8:32:55 AM PDT
Julia Child may be best known as a TV chef, but that wasn't her only job. The former Pasadena resident was an international spy for the U.S. government.

The National Archives has released the names of thousands of American citizens who once spied for the U.S. for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II. The OSS became part of the CIA.

Other names on the list include Major League catcher Moe Berg, historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. and Miles Copeland, father of Stewart Copeland, who is drummer for the band The Police.
