Curfew tightened to keep kids in class

The city of Los Angeles is tightening its curfew law to try to keep kids in class.The school district has an estimated 40,000 unauthorized absences a day.

Students under the age of 18 must now remain in school during the day for all class hours, and they must be at home from 10 p.m. until sunrise.

The previous curfew law allowed students to be in public after 1:30 p.m.
