Cops shoot Hollywood robbery suspect

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. LAPD said a suspect entered the LG cell phone store near Vermont Avenue and Sunset Boulevard and held it up with a weapon at about 12:30 p.m.

Officers chased the suspect, and after some kind of confrontation, officers fired at the suspect, who went down.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital, and an officer, who had sustained several cuts to his head, was also transported to a hospital.
