$500K reward to catch L.A. serial killer

LOS ANGELES Authorities said the murders took place between 1985 and 2007, and all the victims were black. Police believe some of the women were prostitutes.

The parents of then 18-year-old Alicia Monique Alexander, who was murdered 20 years ago, asked the public to help find their daughter's killer.

"I want them to get this person, although it hurts real bad. But I feel it will be a little relief," said mother Mary Alexander.

LAPD cold case detectives say DNA and ballistics evidence have linked the cases.

One woman, who survived being shot and raped, described the attacker as a black man with short hair, driving a rust, red or orange Ford Pinto.

Anyone with information is urged to call (877) LAW-FULL, or (877) 529-3855.
