Gunman kills man at birthday party

CARSON, Calif. Police said 37-year-old Carlos Gonzalez of Harbor City was standing on the front lawn of a house on Lincoln Street when someone shot him several times at about 9:40 p.m.

Gonzalez was transported to a loca hospital, where he was declared dead.

Witnesses said they saw a dark colored SUV leaving the scene.
