Jacquet never returned home from a hike with his dog Scamper last Monday. Scamper returned to Jacquet's home alone on Tuesday.
Jacquet had a serious medical condition that required daily medication. Without his medicine, investigators say he could have become disoriented.
The cause of death is under investigation.
