Rally to protest oil field expansion

BALDWIN HILLS, Calif. The residents said the county isn't addressing their health and environmental concerns.

Oil and natural gas were discovered beneath Baldwin Hills more than 80 years ago, and 435 active wells still produce petroleum and its byproducts.

With new technology and higher gas prices, the owner of the oil field wants permission to drill 1,000 more wells.
