Botox may help relieve migraines

Botox may not just smooth away wrinkles. According to two new studies by Botox's maker Allergan, it could be a treatment for migraine sufferers.In clinical trials, some patients were given a placebo and the others were give injections of Botox. While the treatment did not decrease the number of migraines per month, it did reduce the number of days that patients had migraines.

A second study showed a decrease in both.

Allergan plans to file for government approval to use Botox as a migraine treatment.
