Study: Loneliness may make you feel cold

September 18, 2008 10:39:03 AM PDT
A new study found social isolation makes people feel physically cold.Psychologists performed experiments on 65 college students. Those who were made to feel left out guessed the room temperature to be lower than those who felt included.

The lonely students were also more likely to choose hot foods and drinks over cold ones.

Psychologists say feeling cold appears to be part of social rejection.
