Water supply could reach historic low

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY Officials say the water level at the main San Gabriel basin was recorded at 203-feet above sea level earlier this month, approaching its lowest level in 75 years.

Low rainfall, a drop in imported water and increased demand are among the causes.

Officials at the main San Gabriel Basin Watermaster say if levels continue to decline, residents can expect the cost of water to go up.
