Missing pilot found in Lytle Creek?

LYTLE CREEK, Calif. San Bernardino County authorities say the evidence was discovered in the middle fork area of Lytle Creek, near Fontana.

Sheriff's deputies say ground crews found the wreckage of a small plane and fragmented human remains in steep, mountainous terrain, after a sheriff's air patrol spotted debris.

Investigators believe the pilot was 24-year-old Daniel Katz. Katz was a Mexico City resident who was flying a Piper Archer from La Verne to Riverside in June, 2001, but was never heard from again.

The remains have not been positively identified.
