5-yr. low-income housing plan for L.A.

On Monday, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will announce a new five-year housing plan for the city for families with various incomes.The plan preserves 20,000 housing units at a cost of $5 billion. Financing will come from $1 billion in existing city resources, housing bonds, grants and private loans.

The 20,000 units will be for different income levels, including the chronically homeless, as well as for families that earn up to $90,000 a year.
