Suspect crashes truck, runs from cops

EAGLE ROCK, Calif. The police chase began at 6:12 a.m. in Sun Valley in the 9100 block of Vina Avenue. Officers were responding to a call of a man trying to take a catalytic converter.

Officers chased the suspect in a white GMC truck, but the vehicle pursuit ended at 6:33 a.m. when the truck spun out on the southbound 2 Freeway in Eagle Rock.

The suspect jumped out of his truck, ran across freeway lanes and fled onto local streets.

Air7-HD followed the suspect as he ran into a building, where he was arrested a short time later.
