Cold case: Day 5 in search for remains

MOORPARK, Calif. A bone-sniffing dog led investigators to a 12-foot deep pit along the 23 Freeway at Tierra Rejada Road on Wednesday.

Roger Dale Madison was killed back in 1968 by convicted serial killer Mack Ray Edwards, who killed himself in prison in 1971. Before he died, he confessed to killing Madison and indicated where he buried his body.

Now, authorities are trying to find the young victim to put him to rest once and for all.

Search teams say the project may continue into next week.
