Mayor fulfills pledge to fill potholes

TOLUCA LAKE, Calif. It's all part of Operation Pothole, the largest of its kind in the nation, according to city officials.

The mayor filled in number 800,000 back in March, and he put on his work gloves again at Valley Spring Lane and Strohm Avenue in Toluca Lake.

They city pays between $5 and $21 just to fix one pothole.

A study group funded by the construction industry reported that the city has the bumpiest roads in California, with 65 percent of them needing repair.
