New couple tops 'Dancing' leaderboard

LOS ANGELES With seven couple lefts the competition is heating up.

"When you get sexy and steamy, you get a little warm under these 300 pounds," said Warren Sapp.

Sapp and his partner Kym Johnson rumbaed their way to third place.

In second, Brooke Burke and Derek Hough, who sure love the guest judge filling in for Len Goodman.

"And then Michael Flatley, the man himself, gives a 10. I was like 'wow,'" said Hough.

Lance Bass and Lacy Schwimmer wowed the judges and landed in first place for their jive.

"It's fun to do something like that jive because it's just fun, campy and what this show's all about, and it does get to showcase my personality for once," said Bass.

Susan Lucci upped her game, tying for fourth with her mambo.

"She didn't just break out of the box, she shattered the box tonight," said her partner Tony Dovolani. "I felt like she gave me everything she's got and that's exactly what I can, as a teacher, you want."

Cody Linley and Julianne Hough are tied with Lucci and Dovolani.

Coming in sixth with the judges was Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke.

Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas were dead last.

"I think I should get low scores," said Leachman. "I think I've earned them. But I don't want to. I'd like to get better scores and I'm going to if you just let me keep trying."

Leachman wasn't happy with judge Carrie Ann Inaba after a comment Inaba made on the show.

"We lost Toni Braxton for this and it kind of makes me sad," said Inaba.

You can see who gets the boot Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC7.
