Calif. man arrested for anthrax letters

October 30, 2008 9:30:22 AM PDT
The FBI has arrested a California man on suspicion of sending more than 100 hoax letters labeled 'Anthrax sample' to newspapers and TV stations across the country.Authorities say none of the letters sent by 66-year-old Marc Keyser have tested positive for hazardous material.

Two Sacramento TV stations and a few other sites received letters on Wednesday.

As the FBI warns media outlets to be careful of their mail, The Star Tribune of Minneapolis is the latest news organization to receive a package containing a white powder labeled "anthrax."

Keyser is being held at the Sacramento County Jail and is expected to be in court on Thursday.
