"My main goal is to make sure that all the dogs that come in, get adopted," said Alexandra. "And we're a rescue company that doesn't put dogs to sleep. We rescue them and keep them until they get adopted."
Working with the Animal Rescue Kompany (ARK), Alexandra truly cares about the dogs and cats that come in needing her help.
"Alex has a big heart. She's out there for the animals," said Joy Brown from ARK. "She wants to get them adopted. She tries to find them homes. She talks to the people. She does whatever she can to help out."
Taking her caring another step further, Alexandra wants to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
"I want to help the animals that are abused and neglected, and help them get better and also help them become adoptable," said Alexandra.
For now, Alexandra savors the moment when a household and its newest member come together.
"You see the family interact with it, and the dog is so happy," said Alexandra. "When they say, "We want to get him,' it fills my heart with joy."
