Study: Big waist doubles risk of death

It re-confirms the need to keep your waist size in check.

German researchers studied the body mass index and waist size of 359,000 people. While a normal body mass index meant the lowest risk of death, waist size played an equally important role.

People with thicker waistlines had a premature death risk two times higher than those with the smallest waists.
