Can a scale help fight child obesity?

Could a scale be the best defense in the fight against childhood obesity?A new study finds teens who regularly weigh themselves may have an advantage.

University of Minnesota researchers found that overweight teenagers who weighed themselves at least once a week tended to eat a better diet and be less heavy than their peers.

Experts think the self monitoring helps with weight control because it makes teens accountable.
