Can a scale help fight child obesity?

A new study finds teens who regularly weigh themselves may have an advantage.

University of Minnesota researchers found that overweight teenagers who weighed themselves at least once a week tended to eat a better diet and be less heavy than their peers.

Experts think the self monitoring helps with weight control because it makes teens accountable.
