$95K reward in hunt for deputy killer

CYPRESS PARK, Calif. A $95,000 reward will be announced on Wednesday for information about the August murder of Deputy Juan Escalante.

Detectives initially thought the killing was related to Escalante's job in the Men's Central Jail, but those leads reportedly didn't go anywhere.

Detectives now think Escalante may have been killed by gang members who were unaware he was a deputy.
