PCH reopens after fatal hit-and-run

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. Witnesses said four men were arguing on Pacific Coast Highway near Sunset Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when one man walked away. He was struck by a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Pacific Coast Highway.

The driver fled from the scene after hitting the victim.

Pacific Coast Highway was shut down in both directions between Sunset and Topanga Canyon boulevards until at least 12:30 a.m. during the investigation, according to the CHP.

Police describe the suspect's vehicle as a late 1990 green SUV, possibly a Nissan pathfinder.
