Woman sues LA County over husband's death

LOS ANGELES Cesar Silva died in November 2007 after deputies tried to arrest him in an unincorporated area of South Los Angeles. Silva resisted, fighting five deputies and injuring two before deputies used the Taser.

The lawsuit says Silva was unarmed when deputies used the Taser on him more than 10 times.

An autopsy found silva had cocaine and methamphetamine in his system.

The sheriff's department is not commenting on the suit, but is investigating Silva's death.

Caroline Silva is also suing Taser International Inc., the weapon's manufacturer, saying the company failed to warn of the stun gun's danger.
