Many return from Iraq w/ brain injuries

LOS ANGELES The Institute of Medicine issued a new report detailing the consequences, which include lingering memory problems, trouble concentrating and a higher risk for post-traumatic stress. Experts credit the rise in brain injuries because more soldiers survive bomb blasts due to improved helmet design.

Now researchers recommend even better designs to help protect against blast traumas.
