Healthy people use drugs for brain boost

LOS ANGELES Stimulants are some of the most widely-abused medications. People are using drugs like Ritalin (used to treat A.D.D.) and Provigil (prescribed for narcolepsy) to increase their brain power and alertness.

One scientist embraces the idea of using those medications to improve brain function, but others are concerned that no one knows the long-term effects the drugs may have in healthy people.
