The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Investigators say the incident began as a home invasion robbery. The first suspect came out of the apartment and fired upon deputies. The deputies returned fire and hit the suspect.
The other suspect fled the scene and also fired shots at deputies. That suspect was later found by the San Bernardino Police Department's canine unit. The suspect was taken into custody.
It is unknown whether or not the victims of the home invasion knew the suspects.
