Diabetes drugs raise fracture risk

Researchers say taking the drugs Avandia and Actos double the risk of fractures in women.

The study was based on previous findings that followed 14,000 patients.

The drugs did not have the same effect in men, leading experts to believe that the drugs interaction with estrogen somehow weakens bones.
