L.A. rescues renters facing foreclosure

LOS ANGELES The mayor is set to sign a new law protecting tenants' rights on Friday.

The law ensures renters in multi-unit properties aren't forced to leave their homes when landlords and property owners fall behind on their mortgage payments.

This year alone, nearly 3,700 individual units faced eviction despite the tenants paying their rent on time and fulfilling their lease obligations.
