LOS ANGELES L.A. River
Explore the Los Angeles River like never before. Visit the Great Wall of Los Angeles, the longest mural in the world, and see what plans the mural creator, Judy Baca, has to expand the mural, plus learn more about plans to "green" the river by creating a string of parks lining the landscape. The L.A. The David Beckham Academy
Located at the Home Depot Center in Carson, The David Beckham Academy is a soccer school open to all boys and girls of all abilities from ages 4 to 15. The priority here is for every player to experience and understand the importance of having fun every time they step on the field through hard work, healthy living and being a team player. Vanity Fair Exhibit
Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs from 1918 - 2008 is making its only U.S. stop at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). For the first time in history, photographs from the magazine's early collection are being displayed side by side with images from present day Vanity Fair. From powerhouse actors to historic figures, this exhibit features some of the most defining images of the last hundred years. This exhibit is scheduled to be on display at LACMA thru March 1, 2009.
