O.C. jewelry store owner bound and robbed

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. Officers said the owner of Pacific Park Jewelers on La Paz Road was about to close for the day when the robbers entered the store just before 5 p.m. Saturday.

The owner was tied to a chair in a back room while the thieves ransacked the store, taking jewelry and emptying the safe.

The owner was able to free himself and call sheriff's deputies after the robbers left.

Deputies are asking anyone with information on the case to call the Orange County Sheriff's Department at (714) 628-7170.
