Fullerton teen shot fleeing police

FULLERTON, Calif. The boy was among 15 to 20 people gathered together around 12:30 a.m. in the 500 block of East Truslow Avenue when police approached, said Sgt. Mike Chocek of the Fullerton Police Department.

The group of people started running and soon after that the boy was shot in the leg, Chocek said.

It was unknown how the boy was shot, and neither he nor the group he was with were very cooperative when police tried to find out, Chocek said.

The teen was treated for his minor injuries.
