Wearing art on anything but your sleeve

POMONA, Calif. There is a buzz coming from the Pomona Fairplex this weekend with the Tattoo and Body Art Expo underway. Thousands of tattoo artists and aficionados have packed the floor and are showing off.

They are called tattoos, but for many for many of the people at the expo, it is more like tatt-"dozens." The ink is flowing through their flesh from front to back, side to side and top to bottom.

"I'm covered, which is roughly $50,000 worth of work tattooed head to toe," said Amanda Martin, a tattoo artist.

The show doesn't have to be all about tattoos. If you're single, if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend who just won't jump into the marriage game, you may want to go to the expo. It seems like folks there don't have commitment issues.

"You have to commit to the tattoo. You have to commit to where it is going to be for the rest of your life," said "Big Gus," a tattoo artist.

If you want to divorce a tattoo, you'll need a laser instead of a lawyer. These guys will tell you tattoos are much easier going on than coming off.

"And trust me, laser is much more painful than tattooing," said Big Gus.

"They can take your house, your job, but not you ink," said Chad Martin, another tattoo artist.
