Police said the victim was able to fight her way out of the car.
"She put up a courageous fight, and originally got away from her attacker," said Officer Cameron Knauerhaze from the /*Westminster Police Department*/.
However, the suspect chased her and captured her again, dragging her several feet into some bushes and beating her in the head. Police said he ripped her pants and tried to rape her, but she fought back and was able to flee.
"She's all scraped on the right side," said Judy Batho, manager of the mobile home park that the victim lives in.
"Everybody's just in shock," Batho said.
Westminster police are trying to determine if one man is behind two other attacks on different women.
There were two other attempted abductions of women in July 2008 right around the corner from Wednesday's attack.
The suspect is described as a thin white or Latino man in his 20s with dark hair. He was driving a white compact car.
Anyone with information is urged to call Westminster police at (714) 898-3315.
