Resting heart rate may gauge its health

LOS ANGELES A resting heart rate is how fast your heart beats per minute before you do anything strenuous.

Researchers say if yours is above 76 beats per minute, then you're more likely to experience a heart attack than those with under 62 beats per minute. The increase wasn't huge, though -- about 26 percent. But researchers this is just one more way to gauge a woman's heart health.

Drug maker Astrazeneca funded part of the study.
