'Salt & Pepper Bandit' arrested in L.A.

LOS ANGELES Brian Keith Robinson, also known as the "Salt and Pepper Bandit," was arrested at an unidentified home in Los Angeles Wednesday.

The 49-year-old suspect got his nickname because of his graying hair.

Robinson is linked to 17 robberies that took place in several cities since January 5.

Authorities say during the robberies, the bandit threatened to start shooting if the tellers did not comply with his demands. He verbally demanded money, and gave the tellers a note.

Police say Robinson's arrest was the result of leads generated from media coverage.
