Cops investigate botched school drug sting

GRANADA HILLS, Calif. The /*Los Angeles Police Department*/ is checking into reports that three administrators at Porter Middle School in Granada Hills asked a boy to buy marijuana as part of a sting targeting another student.

/*LAUSD Spokesperson David Holmquist*/ said the three administrators have been reassigned.

Holmquist said the district has a zero tolerance policy regarding the presence of illegal drugs on campus, and student safety is an issue in the investigation.

The three officials could be fired, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Police say they are investigating the student who allegedly sold the marijuana and the three administrators who reportedly set up the sting, but not the student who was asked to buy the drugs.

/*George K. Porter Middle School*/ is near Chatsworth St. and Balboa Blvd. in Granada Hills.
