A Palmdale woman recently faced that exact situation.
"I was shocked. I thought it was a really nice stimulus package," she said.
The woman, who does not want to be identified, said she was expecting $4,900 from the IRS, but instead, she got about $80,000.
The woman said she tried to get a hold of someone from the IRS to take the money back, but so far, it's still in her bank account.
