Jailed man suspected in boy's assault

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Police believe 33-year-old /*Darwin Felix Alfelor*/ sexually assaulted an 8-year old boy. It allegedly happened on June 13, 2007.

Police say the boy and his babysitter were walking home from /*Erwin Street Elementary School*/. The boy ran ahead and the babysitter lost sight of him near the corner of Atoll Ave. and Victory Blvd.

In just seconds, the suspect allegedly grabbed the boy, put him in his car and drove away.

Police say the suspect was linked to the sexual assault by DNA evidence.

The suspect is already in custody for a different crime. Police say he used to work for a temp agency and for seven years worked at several different hospitals. They won't say which hospitals but they believe there could be other victims.

Alfelor was scheduled to be released from prison in August. Not anymore. Police say he could soon face charges of sexual assault.
