Deliberations in Esperanza Fire trial

Raymond Lee Oyler is accused of setting the 2006 blaze that killed five U.S. Forest Service firefighters.

Prosecutors say Oyler worked for months to perfect an incendiary device and experimented with different types of devices and terrain before he started the deadly blaze near Cabazon.

Oyler has maintained his innocence.

If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
