Small quake rattles Chino Hills area

CHINO HILLS, Calif. The 3.1-magnitude quake hit at 6:40 a.m. and was centered about two miles west of Chino Hills.

It was felt in several surrounding communities.

Last July, a 5.4-magnitude quake hit the same area. That quake resulted in cracked walls and broken water and gas lines.
