L.B. man arrested near U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON, D.C. Capitol police say 49-year-old Timothy Whitfield was arrested after his SUV was pulled over at 3rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police discovered two long rifles, three handguns, a sword, and "other items of concern" inside.

Whitfield was arrested and charged with possession of unregistered firearms and ammunition.
