3-year-old trapped in Texas bounce house

FLOWER MOUND, Texas He has scars on his forehead to show for his ordeal.

Three-year-old Matthew Thurman and his grandparents went to Boomerangs, a Texas play center, Sunday. Matt went into the bounce house and then his grandmother, Tonia Thurman, noticed he had disappeared.

No one could find the child and authorities were called.

It never occurred to anyone he might be in the bounce house. But that's where Matt was for more than an hour until a firefighter found Matt wedged deep inside the bounce house.

After it was deflated, out came Matt.

Wess Griffin of the /*Flower Mound Police Department*/ said the fire department thought it would be a good idea to ask the owner to discontinue the use of the bounce house. The owner of Boomerangs has agreed to discontinue using the specific bounce house.

Kim Thurman, the boy's mother, says it may have been a freak accident, but it could happen again.
